Professional Land & Site Services FAQ 🏗️🌲

🌲 Forestry & Land Management Services

Why should I choose Blitz for land clearing? It comes down to technology and speed. We use the Cat 275XE—a high-output powerhouse paired with a state-of-the-art mulching head. This setup is 30% faster than 1st-generation mulchers, allowing us to finish in hours what takes other companies days.

How does your service compare to traditional tree trimming? We offer a professional finish at a fraction of the cost. While tree crews require multiple men, chippers, and haul-off trucks, our equipment does the work of an entire crew solo. No burn piles, no "muck away" fees, and no wasted time.

What happens to the debris? Our state-of-the-art mulcher grinds trees and brush into a fine, aesthetic mulch on-site. This prevents soil erosion and gives your property a clean, "park-like" finish immediately. You’re left with usable land, not a mess.

What is Forestry Mulching, and why is it better than traditional clearing? Forestry mulching uses a single machine to cut, grind, and clear vegetation into a nutrient-rich layer of mulch. Unlike traditional bulldozing, it:

  • Prevents Erosion: The mulch protects the topsoil from Oklahoma's wind and heavy rain.

  • Eliminates Waste: No massive brush piles to burn or "muck away" fees to pay.

  • Saves Money: It’s often 30–50% cheaper than traditional clearing because it requires less equipment and labor.

What kind of brush and tree removal do you handle? We handle everything from dense cedar thickets and overgrown pastures to selective tree removal. We can clear a "park-like" look into your woods or strip a lot completely for a new shop or home.

Do you offer Grapple Log Pickup? Yes. For landowners with downed timber or large log piles from previous storms, our grapple service efficiently moves and stacks heavy logs that standard tractors can't touch.

Will the brush grow back after you clear it? Mulching knocks down the growth and grinds the stumps flush, but it doesn't "kill" the roots. We recommend a simple maintenance plan—like brush hogging once a year—to keep your newly cleared land looking pristine.

What is Power Raking? Think of this as the ultimate "finish" for your land. Our power rake removes rocks and debris while perfectly leveling the soil. It is the best way to prep a site for a new lawn, a gravel driveway, or a shop pad.

Can you help with property drainage and culverts? Yes! Water management is key in Oklahoma. We install:

  • Swales: Strategically graded channels that guide rainwater away from your house.

  • Culverts: New or replacement pipes under driveways to ensure water flows freely instead of washing out your road.

🛠️ Excavation & Site Prep

What types of structural excavation do you provide? We provide precision digging for residential, commercial, and agricultural needs, including:

  • Foundation & Footings: Professional trenching for new builds, house extensions, and commercial slabs.

  • Shop & Barn Pads: We provide complete site prep—leveling and stabilizing the ground specifically for metal shops and outbuildings.

  • Basement Excavation: Specialized deep-hole digging and grading for residential basements.

Do you handle land rehabilitation? Yes. We fill, drain, shape, and rehabilitate land to support infrastructure, agriculture, or ecological restoration projects. Whether your land has been washed out or just needs a total reset, we can stabilize it.

Can you build recreational trails or food plots? Absolutely. We specialize in carving out ATV/UTV trails and strategic food plots for local wildlife. We utilize the natural lay of your land to design a custom layout that enhances your property’s recreational and hunting potential.

What does your "Site Development" service include? We provide expert site development including:

  • Grading & Raising: Building up low spots or leveling off high ground.

  • Clean Fill Services: Bringing in and compacting dirt to prep your land perfectly for barns, homes, or shops.

  • Final Prep: We ensure the "bones" of your property are ready for whatever comes next.

Can you help with rural utilities and water flow? Yes. We handle Septic System Prep (tanks and lateral lines), Culvert Installation for driveways, and the cutting of Swales to manage rainwater runoff across your acreage.

đź’° Bids & Pricing

How do you price your projects? We price per job, not by the hour. We believe in providing a flat, transparent bid for the total result. This ensures you know exactly what you’re paying before we ever break ground.

Why don't you offer hourly quotes? In this industry, hourly quotes are not created equal. A "cheap" hourly rate for a slow, 1st-generation machine actually costs you more in the long run. Because we operate the latest Cat 275XE, we work 30% faster than the competition. Pricing by the job allows you to benefit from our speed and high-end tech without worrying about a ticking clock.

📍 Service Areas & Logistics

What specific areas do you serve? Blitz Groundworks serves an 8-county footprint across Eastern Oklahoma:

  • Tulsa, Creek, Wagoner, Okmulgee, Okfuskee, Muscogee, McIntosh, and Pittsburg Counties.

What does it cost to get a quote? Estimates and consultations are 100% FREE. We want to see your land and hear your goals before we talk numbers.

What is the $200 Mobilization Fee? To keep our pricing fair for rural clients, we charge a $200 Flat Mobilization Fee for any project located within our service area. This fee is only charged after a project is booked and work begins.

âś… Safety & Reliability

Are you insured? Yes. Blitz Groundworks carries full Public Liability and Employers' Liability insurance. We treat your property with the same respect we’d treat our own.

How do you handle underground utilities? Before we break ground on any excavation or drainage project, we use CAT (Cable Avoidance Tool) scanners to locate water, gas, and electric lines to ensure the job stays safe and uninterrupted.
